What is pixel pitch? For those unfamiliar with LED technology, pixel pitch is the distance between 2 pixels, and is measured from the center of the first pixel to the center of the second pixel. Depending on where your intended audience is versus your LED screen, you will require a different pixel pitch.
You might be wondering “how do I determine what pixel pitch I need for my installation?” As a general rule of thumb for how to determine pixel pitch, you need to get a ratio of 1.8 m per 1 mm. For example, if your audience is at approximately ±10 meters, you should utilize a pixel pitch of 6.67 mm.

Yes, if the distance from your intended audience is reduced. Pixel pitch is defined as the distance between the centres of 2 lights on a single module. The smaller the pixel pitch, the more pixels you have on your digital signage project, and the greater the definition.
Greater definition allows your audience to be closer to your outdoor digital signage display without being able to see the individual pixels themselves. We call this the minimum effective distance.
